Grandfamilies or kinship families refer to families where children live with and are raised by grandparents, other extended family members, and adults with close family-like relationships, such as godparents and close family friends.
GSU has introduced a new paperless system, requiring all clients, both new and existing, to register in person at Bethany EPC during operating hours with the necessary documentation. To access the list of accepted documents and operating hours, please visit GSU’s Denis’ Pantry page. This initiative aims to streamline processes, reduce waste, and ensure accessibility and efficiency in our services for all community members. By embracing digital solutions, we aim to provide timely and effective support to grandfamilies and kinship families. In line with the paperless initiative, GSU is committed to providing resources and programs designed for the unique requirements of grandfamilies. Such resources may encompass educational workshops, support groups, and avenues for legal and financial guidance. The aim is to establish a nurturing setting where families thrive, and children are raised in secure, loving atmospheres. We encourage all families to make use of these resources and reach out for assistance when needed. Our committed staff is ready to assist, continuously striving to enhance our services to better serve the community's needs. Together, we can establish a more robust, interconnected support system for all families and say YES!
